1. The students will continue to review the number sequence and use manipulatives and Dot Set Cards to create simple addition equations.
2. The students will continue to identify and sequence numerals and create simple addition equations using formal notation.
Skills Focus: Students will compare and order numbers, add whole numbers, use math symbols, understand equality, and write addition equations. The activities this week were designed to have the students come to realize the correspondence between movement along the number line, an increase or decrease in set size, and formal addition notation.
